Instead of agreeing with everything you say, an AI picks the opposite side of any opinion and debates you, and keeps score of who actually changed whose mind. A crazy idea pinned for the AI Madness session.
Most chatbots are polite to a fault: they agree, they soften, they say great question. This idea flips it. You type an opinion, and the AI takes the opposite side and argues it as hard as it honestly can. No insults, but no easy wins either.
How it could work
- You state a belief, from tabs versus spaces to whether to quit your job
- The AI argues the opposite with real reasons, and asks you to defend yours
- A scoreboard tracks who changed their mind, and why
- At the end you get the best argument from each side, in one paragraph
The interesting part is the scoreboard. If people keep winning, the AI is too weak. If nobody ever changes their mind, it is just noise. Pin your own twist: what rule would make the argument fair, or funnier?
